| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com The main event on VeggieTales: Sumo of the Opera is the title featurette, a comic concoction of Gilbert & Sullivan and Rocky. Veggie Tales hero Larry the Cucumber plays the Italian Scallion (okay, so he was raised by a family of onions), a professional wrestler big on quips but not on finishing anything he starts, in or out of the ring. When he's challenged to a match with the sizable Apollo Gourd, Scallion is faced with the biggest decision of his life: Does he have what it takes to complete the task? This particular VeggieTales animation treat for kids doesn't reinvent any specific Bible story, but it does underscore the importance of perseverance. Also on the disc are a few extras, including "Going Up," a more-or-less silent comedy in which a Veggie Tales version of the Three Stooges re-creates the famous Laurel and Hardy routine about pushing a piano up a long flight of stairs. --Tom Keogh

Another Great Veggietales Movie October 20, 2008 I give this Veggietales movie 2 thumbs up! Another great movie, same great characters, more great values taught to your children. They did it again. You won't be disappointed. As a matter of fact, I don't think I have been disappointed yet with one of their movies.
Never Give Up April 27, 2008 We've all been at a point when the going got tough. It's how we handle those tough situations that define who we really are.
In this story Larry learns that quitting is easy, but seeing it through to the end is it's own reward. The Italian Scallion quits everything when it gets a little hard. Eventually he understands that he can do it if he works hard. What's even better is that even though he didn't win the biggest prize, he wins something even more valuable. A sense of self-worth and dignity.
You and your child will definitely root for the underdog on this one. Your child will learn an important lesson from this pointy headed cucumber.
Love the St. Patrick short February 29, 2008 This video was all worth the St. Patrick story. It was totally funny. Believe it or not it was completely historically accurate. I'm recomennding it to my friends so their kids can learn about St. Patrick.
St. Patrick's Day January 24, 2008 Buy this one now so you will know the story of St. Patrick before March 17! You also get a great lesson in homophones.
Another Great Veggietales! October 19, 2007 Veggietales are entertaining for the whole family. We own nearly every one of them. Highly recommended.
