McLeod has written a small book (more than a tract, less than a novel) about how the original Christians lived and worked cooperatively, and how it is possible to still do so today. It is not an advocacy of commune living, but more how you have have faith-based structure to business, work, health and living organizations. There is a historical overview of how it has worked (or not) in the past, and examples of current organizations and people living by cooperative principles. There are plenty of footnotes and Biblical references, but Holy Cooperation! doesn't fall into a dry writing style. There has been a growing focus on local communities in the Green movement and localvores; McLeod makes a good case for a Christian basis for the same thing.
